Soft- sheep wool can be itchy and uncomfortable, you don't have to worry about being itchy with soft llama fiber due to its low micron count
Hypo-Allergenic- if you are sensitive to, or allergic to, other animal wools then llama fiber is a great choice. Llama fiber does not contain lanolin which is the cause of many wool allergies
Warmth- one of the warmest natural fibers
Flame Resistant- llama fiber will not support a flame or melt, making it safe for many uses
Anti-microbial- llama fiber naturally does not support bacterial growth
Sustainable- we trim our llamas fiber to keep them cool in the summer and to monitor overall health and their useful fiber is the bi-product of that. Llama fiber is completely compostable which in turn can be used in the garden to provide nutrients. Even the fiber that cannot be spun into yarn may be used as mulch to prevent pests and weed growth, mixed into the soil for nutrients, or even left out for birds to take to use in their nests
Moisture Wicking- llama fiber has a hollow core, which pulls away moisture. This also helps to keep the fiber light and comfortable

Flapjack after being shorn, you can see how thick his fiber was!
